Honorable Mention
Clusters
DESCRIPTION
Clusters are a series of photomontages made from images of some of my sculptures, and architectural models, as well as built structures. All of the original photos were placed into my computer where they were isolated from their surrounding backgrounds. The isolated images were then manipulated in various ways in the computer in order to create new and unexpected composites of the original images. In some cases additional images were added such as people, animals, and landscapes, which have also been altered in various ways. The primary objective was to invent a method by which totally unexpected and original photomontages can be created, through the unorthodox mixing and altering of known and unknown elements. AUTHOR
