With each image I'm trying to create a new visual compound… a greater Gestalt. Two images relating to each other across concept, colour and graphic structure.
The greater the conceptual and contextual distance two images have to reach across to talk
to each other, the more imaginative momentum is built up for the viewer.
When the viewer is drawn into thinking about all the possible threads that might link the images, that’s exactly the conversation between image and viewer I hope to encourage. If the juxtaposition raises a bit of a smile, that’s a bonus.
