Panther Creek Falls
DESCRIPTION
Panther Creek Falls was a challenge to get to, but clearly worth the effort. From a forestry service road, to an unmarked trail head and finally a rope-assisted descent down slippery rock face, definitely off the beaten path. The falls were magnificent and the remoteness guaranteed that I had them to myself. It took only minutes to photograph the falls but I stayed for hours. AUTHOR
Richard Vandegriend is a self-taught Vancouver based photographer whose passion is landscape, street and fine-art photography. Believing that composition and timing are critical to a great image, compositional elements are not altered in post-processing. Instead care and patience are exercised to ensure the image was captured perfectly in camera. As landscape photography is so dependent on lighting and weather conditions, more often than not, great images are discovered rather than planned. One must give themselves the time and opportunity to discover these images.
