The Burrowing owls were nesting in the grasslands of eastern Colorado and I was trying to capture images from a blind. The owls are very small, 10in, so the one way to get close without disturbing behavior is from a blind. I loved this image of a very insistent owlet trying to get it's parents attention for more food.
