Bruce HaswellBruce's preferred medium is digital colour work and favours a street photography shooting style which may also include portraits, architecture, singage, advertising and Australian iconography... good and bad!. Bruce's influences are photographers such as Andre Kertesz, Walker Evans, Robert Frank, Garry Winogrand, Lee Friedlander and Josef Koudelka.
Bruce's first exhibition was at Rennie Ellis Brummels Gallery, Melbourne, where three works were purchased through the Phillip Morris Collection, National Australia Gallery Canberra ACT.
He has also exhibited colour images in two group exhibitions held in local galleries in Uralla NSW and was short listed for 2018 Black & White magazine Photographer Of The Year, GMC Group UK and subsequently published in same.
Most recently a submission of Bruce's ongoing project of colour work titled 'Australian Pictorial 'earned him the distinction of Associate Exhibitor in the 2018 Head On Sydney Photo Festival and was exhibited as a solo exhibition at Gaffa Gallery in Sydney during the festival in May.
Bruce lives and works in Armidale NSW Australia.
