Stampede Fireworks
DESCRIPTION
Viewing the annual Calgary Stampede fireworks at Scotsman's Hill has become a local tradition. During Summer, the sun sets late due to the long daylight hours. This panorama is a blending of multiple shots taken during the blue hour right through the firework display when the city downtown lit up perfectly to complement the magnificent event also known as the "Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth." My interest in photography dates back to the early years when I was a high school student. A friend of mine taught me a neat trick in double exposing a shot using a film camera and I was fascinated. Back then, photography was all on film. My indulgence in photography peaked when digital SLR cameras were introduced many years later. Not only was I interested in taking pictures, my training in design enabled me to explore ways to improve on the digital images that I took and to elevate my photography into an art form.
