DESCRIPTION
This picture is an HDR/panorama - result of merging 46 photos. I hiked to this location which is just under famous mountain Eiger because the weather forecast suggested that weather might change and a thunderstorm is expected. I walked around and decided that I like the flowers in the foreground and that this will be my composition. The top of the Eiger was covered in clouds so I was waiting for over 4 hours when suddenly the sun broke through the clouds and highlighted the fields between me and the mountain and a few minutes later the higher parts of the mountain became visible too. I am a software engineer and a passionate amateur landscape photographer. Since I was a child I was very fascinated by the process of taking pictures with film-based cameras. With time I became a geek who loves to talk about megapixels, photographic DR and other features of the camera gear. At some point interest in the equipment connected to the passion to travel and as a result I started exploring landscape photography.
