DESCRIPTION
Estuarine crocodiles are known to be dangerous predators in the mangrove forests of Sundarbans in India. Mainly known as the abode of the notorious Royal Bengal Tigers, these mud-banks and creeks are also known for crocodile attacks. Living from the pre-historic era, these creatures have developed tremendous adaptability for survival in extreme conditions. They have skilled beautifully techniques to hide themselves in the mud-bank by being loathed with the 'natural make-up' of the river mud. Although seemingly life-less, they remain on high alert and aware of the minute movements in the surroundings. Camouflage is an art used by several creatures to hide themselves in the surroundings either to escape from the predator or to remain unnoticed to their prey. The eyes bring life to the picture and its similarity with the leaves around enhances the camouflage and gives an artistic value to the image. AUTHOR
