I was born and raised in a small industrial city in southern Russia. After graduating from the Lyceum, I studied and lived in St. Petersburg, where, by fate, I rotated in creative circles. Poets, writers, directors, artists, photographers - among them I found quite a few friends, who in many ways influenced my perception and my taste. I never studied photography, comprehended everything myself, empirically. My inspiration was the legendary photographers of the agencies Magnum and Reuters.
What distinguishes photography from other forms of art - theater, cinema, painting, graphics, sculpture? What is the art of photography that is not found in any other? This is a factor of chance. And most of all this factor is present in street photography. In my travels, I like to roam the streets of unknown cities and look at the life boiling around me.
