Honorable Mention
Locals of San Cipriano
DESCRIPTION
On the path to the Pacific Coast of Colombia, between Cali and Buenaventura, is a small jungle village called San Cipriano. Not accessible by car, your only choice to reach this riverside Village is via locally guided Motorcycles that fasten to the railroad tracks. San Cipriano is an off the beaten path adventure spot where locals go to swim in the river. Pictured are local Colombians watching their friend jump from a river bank rope swing. AUTHOR
I have been photographing the world for over five years. My travels have taken me to many places like the streets of São Paulo, the Sahara Desert, the Pacific Coast of Colombia, and the Algarve. Growing up in the hills of Kentucky and Tennessee I’ve found myself infatuated with both the beauty of nature and the intimacy of community.
I am drawn to the unique people of each place I encounter, and I seek to capture these subjects with integrity. Continuing to learn about myself and the artists that came before me drives my work forward.
