DESCRIPTION
I was in Wapusk N.P. (Canada) looking for Polar bear cubs. One morning, while driving to the bears denning area, we noticed this Arctic fox, still very far away, coming in our direction across a frozen lake and carrying something red in its mouth. When it got closer, I realize it was a huge piece of meat. I found strange that such a small animal like that fox would be carrying such a big prey and my guide explained to me that Actic foxes are also scavengers and often steal parts of wolves kills, in this case a big piece of caribou.
