Photograph of the common structure and architecture in São Paulo, Brazil. Apart from reality, the angle chosen causes the common structure, which is not normally observed, to become an abstract and geometric composition. The yellow color of the building and the blue of the sky help to emphasize and compose the image. AUTHOR
In order to question how we observe our surroundings, Ligia Sato photographs the common architecture of Brazil. Design student at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo (USP) and of photography. Born and raised in Sao Paulo, in a completely urban, gray, concrete space. The fascination for urban and architectural details originated in this environment, in a search for the beauty and subtleties that exist in the midst of São Paulo chaos.
