Honorable Mention
Playful and messy. Krampus parade.
DESCRIPTION
In wintertime I adore watching Krampus parades! It is so much fun and people just enjoy it, especially the children. They wait the whole year for Christmastime, when Krampus arrives at the town. When I noticed a little girl hiding behind people's legs in this crowd, I had just a few seconds to grab my camera and shoot. She was a little scared, but at the same time, she was messing with the walking Krampus men during their annual parade. She looked like she was from a movie! Her grimaces, her ginger plaits, her freckles, and her perfect matching green hat reminded me of Pippi Longstocking.
Krampus is a mythical figure—half goat, half demon—who beats people into being nice and not naughty. Every year around Christmas in the Tyrol region, young people masked as horned demons run around with torches and instruments of torture just making fun!
AUTHOR
I am coming from an artsy family of painters, sculptors and composers. I love to paint too, but last few years I prefer to use my photo camera as a brush and canvas!I love to be creative, to experiment, using different techniques or creating my own ones, without using a Photoshop.
I love photography and I am looking for a Beauty everywhere, even in the small, sometimes invisible for the others things!
I try to use photography to show the people the way in which I am seeing the world. Not just the visual of the scene in front me, but also my feelings and emotions.
