DESCRIPTION
Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq. 9th March 2021. Fatima, fled from Qamishli, Syria, in 2014, poses inside her shop in the Qushtapa refugee camp.
AUTHOR
I was born in 1971 in Turin, Italy. I graduated in Nursing in 1999 and specialised in 2006 in Helicopter Emergency Medical Service. I followed for a decade human rights, social and environmental movements in Italy. In 2021 I was on assignment in Iraq to document the evangelical trip of Pope Francis and the life in IDP and refugee camps. A work that led to the publication of the book “May the weapons be silenced” and the exhibition “You are all brothers”. I exposed in Italy, and published in several international magazines.
