Honorable Mention
Beach huts
DESCRIPTION
I have always been fascinated by end of summer mood and by that subtle feeling of melancholy which is typical of transition times and stages. I took this shot because I thought that the pastel colors of these almost empty beach cabins and the lady with a light sweater exiting one of it conveyed that feeling very well. AUTHOR
Floriana Avellino is a chameleonic photographer from Milan, Northern Italy. Being naturally allergic to labels Floriana is really inspired by any photographic genre considering each genre not so much a way of capturing reality but of interpreting and sharing a personal vision of it in a specific moment or situation. In that process the observer mixes up with their subject of observation and there she sees a chance to build a bridge towards the outer world and other human beings meeting them in what we all have got in common (inner emotions, hopes and fears).
