This photograph shows the incredible amount of rays that interacted with the explosions, gases and falling material ejected from the crater.
This phenomenon known as a dirty storm is not very common in volcanic eruptions but many volcanoes show small sporadic electrical activities, in the Calbuco volcano it was the opposite and this spectacle of nature could be seen hundreds of kilometers away.
