My name is Przemysław Kot; I was born on June 16, 1984, in the Łódź Voivodeship, Poland. In photography, I am more interested in the spiritual dimension than in discussions about equipment. My approach to photography is constantly changing and evolving.
Early in my conscious creative journey, I focused for a long time on nude photography. For several years now, I have been consistently developing a style of sociological photography—emphasizing subjective documentary work—while simultaneously returning to my source of inspiration and fascination: the human body. Despite all these shifts, certain things remain constant and fundamental: the subjects of my photographs are always people. I love observing people and noticing the contrasts and diversity they embody. In my spare time—preferably amidst the city bustle—I like to sit on a bench and watch a cross-section of society; I neither judge nor impose anything. It is more a form of admiration, akin to watching fish in an aquarium.
