Javier Vergara (1988, Chilean journalist photographer).
He began self-taught in 2012 photographing the Chilean music scene. Since then, he has been working together with various musicians and local producers. In 2016, he started as journalist photographer of sports for national football teams during the ¨Primera División¨ Chilean championship (e.g. Universidad de Chile, Huachipato and Everton teams). At the same time, he has been working as freelance for one of the main photography agencies in Chile. Since October 2019, he has spending his days taking photos of the protests in his country to showcase the reality of the civil unrest and compare it to the reality worldwide. Some of his photos can be found in local media and has been recognized internationally.
