DESCRIPTIONTavar Zawacki was commissioned by the Albright Knox Art Gallery to create its largest and most ambitious public arts project. Drawn to the windows, arrows and the scale of this mural, I chose to abstract a section rather than capture the building in its totality, capturing my desire to rise above the fray.
AUTHORAs an introvert, photography is my language of choice. I photograph the world as I experience it – with joy, awe, surprise and humility. I love to wander! I search for sights that speak to me. I began traveling at twenty, taking snapshots along the way. And, I've never stopped. Forty years later, I'm still taking photos. While my skills have been honed, my interest in a range of subjects has only broadened. From landscapes to candid portraits, architecture to street scenes, I embrace the wonder of the world around me.
