DESCRIPTION
Cormorant fishing was once a successful local industry in Guilin but sadly it is no longer economical to fish this way. Huang Gao-Hui, 73, is probably the last cormorant fisherman still going out on his raft. I can still hear him proudly declaring that he holds the responsibility of keeping the fishermen's gas lamps burning on the Li River. AUTHOR
