Girl with red orchid
DESCRIPTIONThe girl with red orchid is a part of a floral self-portrait series that seeks to question the lines between dream and real life.
By covering her eyes gives a slightly mysterious feeling and wondering who this person could be. Although we can't see her eyes she gives us the feeling that she's staring at us, like we suddenly interrupted her.
AUTHORBeáta Kovács is an award-winning artist based in the Netherlands whose paintings have been exhibited in Serbia, Hungary, Romania, and Spain. Exploring questions surrounding nature, human representation, and the relationship between them both, her works also convey the importance of nature and mental health through the lens of the figurative. Kovács employs her own body as a model for reference pictures, attempting to process meaning via the filter of absurdity.
