Cabo de Formentor is one of the most beautiful and peculiar places in Mallorca, it is
a narrow peninsula 20 km long that has served as inspiration for numerous
artists for centuries. Many people know it as “the meeting point of the winds”. That name is due to the fact that at this point the winds of the Iberian Peninsula are found, of the
European Alps, the Atlantic Ocean and North Africa. The erosion caused by
the wind, the sea and the rains have ended, resulting in a postcard landscape
dotted with curious rock formations and steep cliffs that border
the area everywhere. One of its greatest points of interest is its lighthouse, which appears
jutting out onto a small plateau at the end of a road starring
extreme curves.
Of course it is one of the relics that the photographers of the island have to be able to
capture the night sky, in addition, its peculiar stretches of road help us to
get those eye-catching trace effects with light.

In this type of photos, prior planning is very important. We not only control the camera times and synchronize them with the
times of the vehicle trajectory, but we also have to control the
perspectives to be able to correctly join the panorama photos. Finally,
we also have to take into account the flashes of the headlight, it is important to count them
to predict when the light beam will enter the camera directly and thus cover the
lens to avoid unwanted lights and flares.
