Holy Mountain
DESCRIPTION
Mount Gonbo Rangjon which is considered holy by locals, is located in Zanskar region of India. It's said to resemble a sitting Buddha from an angle. This region is remote and much less explored than its neighbor Ladakh. I shot this pic during an overlanding expedition to this region. It started raining as the sunset was approaching. I thought I had no shot until, just for a minute, a small beam of light appeared and it fell exactly on the peak of this mountain thus truly making this mountain live up to its name AUTHOR
