We often remember at our childhood through old photos, where colors are faded and pictures are soft. But those characteristics are not flaws. That's how we remember those times: innocent, simple and beautiful.

I create such feelings on purpose. For that I use an old Graflex RB Series B 4x5 sheet film camera. I don't attach the lens to the camera but hold it in my hand and tilt it ever so slightly. Free-lensing. As a film, I use old expired colour positive film that I cross develop to a colour negative. I love the colors I'm getting. These techniques put the childhood summers back to my new pictures. Like echoes from better times!
