Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, I rediscovered photography 10 years ago after watching the Sebastiao Salgado documentary, The Salt of the Earth. It was 45 years ago in high school when I was first introduced to photography during a class in my senior year. While I don't remember much about the class or what I learned, something must have stuck with me all these years that a documentary movie about Salgado would inspire me to go out and get my first digital camera and pursue the art of story telling through images.Today I spend most of my time shooting fine art, portrait and street photography, but more often than not, I will go out and shoot other genres such as wildlife, minimal and architecture.
I do this because I truly believe that working with other genres will help me expand my knowledge of photography and reach my artistic goals.
In my short time behind the camera, I have been fortunate enough to have several of my images appear in galleries across the U.S. and Europe, including Photo Place Gallery, A Smith Gallery, Praxis Gallery, Black Box Gallery, SE Center for Photography, PH 21 Gallery, Blank Wall Gallery, New York Center for Photographic Art, Camelback Gallery, Art Fluent Gallery, the Decode Gallery and the International Grand Prix of Photography.
