Hello Brooklyn
Sam Rittenberg, United States
Hello Brooklyn
DESCRIPTION
“Hello Brooklyn” focuses on the infinite and cyclical nature of being. The subject of the photograph is an old wall in Williamsburg covered with stickers, posters, and graffiti. Color and light were used to manipulate the elements within the photograph as to express the paradoxical nature of that which is simultaneously in a state of destruction and creation - a paradox in which can be found both connection and acceptance.
AUTHOR
Sam Rittenberg lives and works in New York City and the Dominican Republic. His primary interest is in the ability of a photograph to express the infinite and paradoxical interplay of destruction and creation. He is guided by the idea that every picture has the potential to be a portal to that which is ordinarily beyond us.
