Honorable Mention
Blazing Harvest Moon
DESCRIPTION
The September Harvest Moon/Supermoon was on full display in Chicago this year. On this shoot, I wanted to capture the simplicity and natural beauty of the full moon over Lake Michigan. I knew the color would be a vibrant pink/orange at the horizon. With "Blazing Harvest Moon", I waited for the moon to rise a bit and then pan the shot parallel with the horizon, creating a fiery orange streak and a sense of fiery movement across the sky. The sailboat passing by added depth and perspective to what was a stunning moonrise. AUTHOR
