Taken in 2022, in Tresigallo, (Italy), located in the province of Ferrara, a few kilometers from the Este city and about 60 from the Via Emilia, Tresigallo rises between the Apennines and the Adriatic: in a privileged position, halfway between the capital and the sea. The small town is a good starting point for observing the complexity of the 20th century. It was an ancient village of medieval origin, transformed in the 1930s by Edmondo Rossoni, Tresigallese and minister of the government, into a real ideal city of the 20th century, utopian and metaphysical, recognized today as the capital of Italian rationalism and awarded the recognition of "Art City". Designed by the engineer Carlo Frighi, the landscape architect Pietro Porcinai, the sculptor Enzo Nenci.
The urban planning and architectural language has not undergone any particular alterations over time.
For Rossoni the "new cities" were not instruments of propaganda or economic speculation but places centered on people, their 'dreams' and their 'needs'. Just as it is written above one of the iconic buildings of Tresigallo, those bathing establishments and public toilets which since 2010 have become the Palace of dreams.
