It is estimated that around 27 million vehicles are recycled globally every year. A serious improvement, as the norm not so long ago, was the junkyard and for the left overs the landfills. Is believed that now up to 80% of a car materials are recyclable and/or reusable for other purposes. In many countries the recycling ratio of end-of-life/use vehicles can reach 90%-95%. But in many other, on a global scale, there is a long way to go. Not only for whole cars but even for changing parts with extra value; like the alternator, containing copper, aluminum and iron.
