I captured this image on a foliage trip I took through upstate Ney York and Vermont this past fall. I was driving by a small lake and almost missed this image. After driving by, I had to do a quick U-turn and go back. It was a calm, overcast afternoon and the water was perfectly still. I was drawn to this small section of shoreline on the opposite side by the way the yellow trees fully encircled to two pine trees in the center. I grew-up in the northeastern part of the United States and fall foliage is always a magical time that transports me back to my youth.
