Kirkjufellsfoss Twilight
DESCRIPTION
Kirkjufellsfoss is a spectacular waterfall in Iceland overlooking Mt. Kirkjufell. With "Kirkjufellsfoss Twilight", I used a long exposure to create a dreamy scene and highlight the movement of these magnificent falls. During golden hour, I waited for the sunset to catch a glimpse of color which seemed to be moving along with the fluid waterfall. With Mt. Kirkjufell in the background, the dramatic sky compliments the smooth flow of Kirkjufellsfoss, facilitating a breathtaking experience. AUTHOR
Dan Scott is a photographer based in Chicago, IL. He was born and raised in GlensFalls, NY.
As an avid runner, Dan completed the six Abbott World Major Marathons, instigating
his love of travel and exploration. That travel, combined with growing up in the scenic
Adirondacks has fueled Dan’s passion for photography, specifically landscapes and
nature. Dan’s work has been featured in juried exhibitions at several galleries. Dan strives to push the boundaries of his exploration and creativity, capturing compelling images that connect with and inspire people.
After 33 years, Dan retired from Xerox Corporation, where he held positions in sales,
marketing, and leadership, including VP of Sales and Marketing. Dan is an Instructor at
Chicago Photography Classes, a photography school and community located in the
Ravenswood neighborhood of Chicago. Dan volunteers with FreshLens Chicago, an
organization that provides tuition free photography and life skills programs for under-
resourced Chicago youth.
