I was born in Gela in Sicily on 04/01/1962. I have lived in Montichiari (BS) since 1984.
I have been taking photographs for more than 30 years.
I still remember when I took my first photo with a reflex, a Cosina CT1, lent me by a work colleague, in Rome, from our office window. A very banal photo…. but very important to me…. The zero point of a great passion that has never left me ever since. I still own that photo.
But... it's only been a few years since I started studying and developing "my photos, the encounter with digital photography was year zero for me. Being able to have total control over my shots in post production opened the door to a new and wonderful world …..It was what I was waiting for.
Photography for me is the externalization of internal images. I don't have the pretension, nor the intention, nor the desire to document reality. I love to interpret reality……or rather….I like to give “my version of the facts”…..trying to express it artistically…and hoping to succeed.
