Slalom
DESCRIPTION
The slalom is one of the obstacles of the Agility dog sport, inspired by horse racing which consists of a course of around 200 meters made up of around 20 different obstacles to be tackled in the order provided without receiving penalties and in the shortest possible time, together with the human handler who accompanies him by giving him commands. This sporting discipline implies great harmony between the dog and its human handler which leads to an exceptional understanding between the two, and manages to facilitate the management of the dog in everyday life, thanks to correct interaction with the handler; and offers the possibility of doing a lot of physical activity, but always oriented towards play and stimulates the animal's ability to learn and pay attention
The slalom is done by fixing 12 rigid stakes to the ground arranged in a row at a fixed distance of about 60 centimeters from each other: the dog will have to do the "slalom" passing once to the left and once to the right of the stake, entry of the dog must always be holding the first post on his left. Each dog adopts its own technique, some hopping between one post and another with the two front paws together, some alternating the right paw with the left. The dog in the photo closes the eye that is closest to the post.
AUTHOR
I was born 51 years ago in Rome, where I live and work as an architect, dealing with real estate development projects.I have practiced photography at an amateur level since I was young, a passion handed down from my father, I took my first steps in photography with his film camera and now I continue with a reflex that I always carry with me because Rome offers so many interesting subjects to photography, from architecture, to landscape, to street photography. Thanks to my profession I have a predilection for architectural photography, for how light underlines architectural lines. I practice yoga and jog, as well as snowboard and Agility with my dog, for this reason the other subjects I love to photograph are dogs, especially in sports.
I love walking along the Tiber in Rome with my dog and my camera, listening to music.
