Mursi Cattle Drive
DESCRIPTION
This photo was taken from the campsite that we slept in next to the small Mursi village in Mago National Park. The Mursi are pastoralists and live in a hot, dry, and challenging environment. Finding grazing lands for their cattle is a continuous battle and is being made even more difficult by the construction of large hydro dams in the Lower Omo River, which they and other tribes in the area depend on.
