Honorable Mention

                Jared and the serpent
                            DESCRIPTION
This image is a homage to Richard Avedon’s ‘Nastassja and the serpent’, part of our project ‘The rib, the apple and the sin’, which is an iconographic narrative, playing with the “eternal story” about gender roles and expectations. A tale full of symbols. AUTHOR
I began my career as a photojournalist in my home country, Peru, before relocating to London in 1985, where I shifted my focus to fashion and portraiture. Over the years, my work has been published in magazines such as i-D, Elle, and Vogue, as well as in newspapers including The Guardian, Folha de São Paulo and The Huffington Post.In 1999, I briefly returned to photojournalism when the opportunity arose to cover the Kosovo War. In the years that followed, my practice gradually evolved toward documentary photography and eventually into fine art, which now forms the core of my work. My work has also been recognised with awards on different occasions.
Beyond photography, I enjoy exploring other creative forms such as music, GIFs, and video.
