A passing storm clears over the Anna-Purna range of mountains in the Mustang region of Nepal.

I was out with my guide and driver when I saw the stunning skies over the mountains to the east above the hidden town of Lubra. At first, it was difficult to see the outline but as the evening sun started hitting the cloud from behind us they dissipated enough to get a glimpse of them.

From memory, my lens stabilization was having difficulties with the cold and so I wasn't sure of the shot was going to be sharp. I hadn't taken my tripod out of the vehicle so needed a steady hand.

The image was processed in Lightroom and then Nik 6 olor Efex to help bring out some more details.
