Honorable Mention
Salt textures
DESCRIPTION
The colors in salt flats, especially shades of blue, pink, or red, can be affected by microorganisms such as bacteria and algae that thrive in highly saline environments.Algae such as Dunaliella salina produce pigments that can create different hues, including blues or greens.
Bacterial biofilms or aggregations of algae and other microorganisms can give rise to white floating filaments.
In some cases, combinations of these organisms with dissolved salts and light create abstract and unique visual phenomena.
AUTHOR
Photography has always been a great passion. The attention to shapes, details, colors, contrasts and small details that continually surprise me are a stimulus for new shots.
The camera is for me a magical tool that captures what the eyes can see and returns a new reality, filtered through the sensitivity and creativity of the photographer.
