DESCRIPTION
On Good Friday, one of the holiest days in the Christian world, the White procession is taking place in Sorrento, from midnight to sunrise, as a tribute to the Passion of Christ and a manifestation of faith by the participants.Hundreds of men parade through the streets in total silence, dressed in white robes and white hoods, avoiding this way to present their sinful existence to God.
A solemn, intense, mournful and silent procession carrying the statue of Mary who is visiting the town churches one after the other, fruitlessly searching inside them for Her lost Child, before She withdraws in Her devoted church to mourn...
