A Turkmen woman dressed in traditional headwear - known as a bash - in a remote village in northern Afghanistan. These costumes are becoming a rarity, and it's only possible to see women dressed in these traditional items inside their homes. Even inside their space, it is not always guaranteed they will show their face to the camera, as it goes against their culture of privacy. AUTHOR
