Beauty beyond reach
DESCRIPTION
This picture captures the beauty and allure of Svetlana, one of the most talented models I have had the pleasure to work with. Set in a classical studio, Svetlana stands completely nude behind a large transparent plastic foil, with her breasts concealed and her graceful and sensual buttocks subtly visible. Her head is gently tilted toward the floor, eyes seemingly closed, and her mouth slightly open, enhancing the sensuality of the scene. The transparent foil, meticulously crafted with strategically placed openings, allows selective parts of Svetlana's body to be revealed while maintaining a sense of modesty and indirect exposure. The upper part of her body emerges through a significant opening, with her arm elegantly extending through the opening, creating a dynamic interplay between concealment and revelation.
My choices in this picture serve a dual purpose: to challenge conventional representations of eroticism and to convey the notion of unattainable beauty. Svetlana's unique presence, partially obscured and partially revealed, suggests that her beauty is so profound it remains beyond reach, encapsulating the idea that any contact with her is perpetually out of grasp.
Possible interpretations of this image include the notion that true beauty transcends physicality, remaining elusive and enigmatic. The transparent foil acts as both a barrier and a medium of revelation, symbolizing the fine line between exposure and concealment, intimacy and distance. Another interpretation is that the foil represents societal norms and restrictions, with Svetlana's partial emergence signifying a break from these constraints, highlighting her individuality and strength.
AUTHOR
Eric is a French amateur photographer who is often considered an artist due to his international awards and his distinctive approach to nude photography. For over 20 years, he has explored the sensual beauty of the female form. Germany, Hungary, and Croatia are the main countries where he creates his art.His pictures have been printed in respected magazines, books, and catalogues from contests and exhibitions, and have also been shown in four exhibitions - both solo and group - highlighting his presence within the photography community. Eric’s artistic development has been shaped by collaborations and mentorships - from early technical training with German photographer Arboulan to a deepening artistic sensibility under Hungarian artists Szeni Jung and Sandor Benkoe, who continues to coach him.
Eric’s approach combines refined technique with emotional depth. While he has done a great deal of studio work in the past, he now prefers to shoot outdoors, embracing natural light. His style transcends conventional eroticism to feature models in stories and narratives that don’t focus on nudity, while both revealing and concealing their nude form.
Having worked with over 100 amateur models, Eric’s work is a passionate dialogue between artist and model, where sensuality and emotional truth meet. The best way to describe his passion is through the words of Richard Avedon: “If a day goes by without my doing something related to photography, it’s as though I’ve neglected something essential to my existence, as though I had forgotten to wake up.”
