The traveler AUTHOR
Partha is a Singapore-based self-taught photographer, originally from Uttarpara, a small town in West Bengal, India. An IT engineer by profession, photography is his true passion. What started as a hobby evolved into an artistic journey of capturing moments, emotions, and stories through his lens.Primarily a wildlife and travel photographer, Partha is drawn to bird photography but began his journey with landscape and cityscape photography. He has a keen eye for black-and-white imagery, which he considers a unique medium for expressing emotion and simplicity. For Partha, photography is more than just taking pictures—it is a way to communicate the subtle emotions and hidden stories found in everyday life and nature.
Partha’s work has earned him numerous prestigious accolades, including awards from international competitions such as the International Color Awards, World Nature Photography Awards, and Chromatic Awards. His artistic approach has made him a visual storyteller and a poetic interpreter of life through photography.
Beyond wildlife, Partha loves exploring different genres, believing that creativity knows no bounds. He enjoys traveling, which enriches his understanding of cultures and landscapes, and often seeks inspiration from nature’s diverse beauty. The patience, anticipation, and precision required in nature photography resonate deeply with his sense of wonder. Yet, Partha believes that rigid boundaries in art can limit one’s creative capacity. By remaining open to new techniques, diverse subjects, and alternative points of view, he has discovered that every form of photography can reveal its own unique beauty.
Ultimately, Partha aspires to share visual stories that evoke feelings of awe, curiosity, and connection. Through his lens, everyday life becomes an extraordinary tapestry of fleeting instants—frozen in time and rich with emotion.
