DESCRIPTION
These iconic white doves are a symbol of Afghanistan. Thousands of them fly, flap and strut the rose-lined paths around Hazrat Ali Shrine. The shrine has been their home since it was built over 700 years ago. Legend has it that every seventh pigeon contains a spirit and if one with a speck of colour flies in and stays, it too will turn as white as snow. AUTHOR
