Lavaredo's Gloria
DESCRIPTION
360° panorama wih Tre Cime of Lavaredo illuminated by the Moon, with Jupiter nearby, that reflects a Brocken Spectre on the right; over the cross of Mount Paterno (2,746 mt) the Ursa Major; and on the highest peak, the headlights of the climbers to illuminate their ascent to the summit.

I took 6 shots with a 60° rotation, each of them bracketed with 3 exposures to preserve shadows and highlights, particularly on the moon and the tent. This resulted in a total of 18 photos, capturing my best panorama ever during one of the most challenging experiences: a Via Ferrata with numerous vertical sections, carrying a backpack filled with supplies, sleep materials like a tent and mat, as well as my photography equipment.
I had shared my dream with a friend, expressing my desire to capture the Tre Cime like they had never been seen before.

To achieve this, we knew we had to do something truly extreme. Thus, we made the decision to climb to the summit of Monte Paterno. We spent at least two weeks analyzing the weather, studying the route, and considering the potential weather conditions. On August 10, 2019, we set out with the best possible conditions.

It took us four hours of walking and climbing to reach the summit, which was shrouded in fog. It was a bit frustrating after all the effort, as the sunset didn't turn out as we had hoped. However, the night was truly amazing, as you can see in the image. I composed the panorama that I had envisioned, and while reviewing it on the camera's display, I realized that I also captured a "Gloria" — a Spectrum of Brocken phenomenon — behind me, making everything even more surreal.
AUTHOR
Since 2008 I'm traveling around the world, looking for inspiration, for new views. It's very hard to create something unique in the infinite world of photography, there are many talents that emerge every day; that's why I chose to customize my landscape vision with Extreme Panoramic Photography, I capture the world all around me, with fields of view like 180, 270 and 360 degrees. By the way i constantly study new shooting and editing techniques. Beyond this, I have always been passionate about cosmos and astronomy, this has brought me closer to astronomical photography that now I practice with extreme satisfaction. Today I bring photography enthusiasts with me on my photographic tours, in my workshops and on my extreme adventures. In this site I collect my portfolio, the list of my next trips and the videos of my photographic tecnique.
