DESCRIPTION
The things found in the world are my colours, the cutting out of detail, the fragmentation and the superimposition is the abstraction that moves away from the material existence of the objects and places reality and its depiction in a new relationship. The things that flow through my pictorial worlds are of this world and yet can be categorised differently in terms of their nature, origin and provenance. Some objects I look for purposefully in the consumer worlds of our materialistic world, others I find as if by chance as remnants on the street or in nature, weathered and as fragments, torn out of context and described with a new story. Some of the objects are of natural origin, their forms and colours detached from our human constructions, others are designed, purpose-built or the result of experiments. From this new perspective and in the context of each other, they become form, colour or structure and escape the usual categorisation.
