Honorable Mention
Wet Ikebana
DESCRIPTION
Wet Ikebanaor the beauty of decay.
The protagonists of this photo series are flowers immersed in water; water that is both the source and the deathbed of life. The "subjects" remain immersed in a basin of water for several days until decomposition leads to their almost complete disintegration. This clearly shows the process of transience of every biological structure, which at the same time is nourishment for countless new life forms.
The aesthetic result is characterized by original and fascinating shapes and colors.
