Anchors of Ascent
DESCRIPTION
At dawn in Sossusvlei, two workers struggle against the force of the rising hot air balloon, gripping the ropes to hold it down. Their effort, framed by the harsh desert landscape, shows the strength and resilience needed for this demanding job. In the quiet morning light, they embody the unseen labor that makes each flight possible. AUTHOR
"In photography, I always take the time to rush everything."That phrase sums up my approach to photography: present, intuitive, and always chasing the moment before it disappears. I'm the eye behind Panoramania.ch, where panoramic landscapes, travel, adventure, wildlife, and infrared photography come together to tell stories of raw beauty and fleeting light.
From alpine ridges to distant coastlines, I seek out places where nature speaks loudest—often at the edges of comfort, in early dawns or late dusks, where the world still feels untouched. Infrared photography, in particular, lets me reimagine the familiar and see landscapes in an entirely new light—literally.
My work is about motion and stillness, discovery and reflection. Whether it's a frozen second of wildlife or a sweeping 180° mountaintop view, every shot is a way to hold onto wonder just a little longer.
