Apparent Equality
DESCRIPTION
The photograph "Apparent Equality" shows the contrast between the world of fully able-bodied people and the world of people with mobility disabilities. From a superficial perspective (from above), every space appears flat and easy to traverse for able-bodied people. Only a shift to a closer (direct) perspective reveals the enormous obstacle that even a small curb represents for people with disabilities. The world of able-bodied people is full of challenges and limitations for people with disabilities. The key to understanding the photograph is the horizontal yellow sign with the wheelchair symbol, which appears at the bottom of the frame. AUTHOR
I am a Polish photographer. My personal project "The Flying Tales" was born out of my passion for aviation, traveling and exploring new places, in which I present the world around me exactly as I see it. A special place in my work is occupied by abstract aerial photography, thanks to which I give existing images completely new meanings. This is how my original photographic series are created. An unconventional view and the need to constantly search for unique compositions in the space around me enable me to bring out hidden images and create unique narratives. For me, analog photography complements aerial photography. Thanks to this, in addition to modern digital solutions, I also draw on those from decades ago, combining two opposing worlds.
