I have been a photo enthusiast through and through since the mid-70s. During my student days, I participated in many international photo salons, exhibited several times and won several prizes as a dedicated competition photographer. When fotomagazin started its "FM-Forum" section, I was the first photographer to open it. I was also a member of various photo clubs and the Royal Photographic Society of England (LRPS).

For professional reasons, I then found little time for photography for many years. In the summer of 2023, however, I "got back into it". I used to shoot with Nikon, using all focal lengths deliberately and purposefully. My pictures are mostly created in my head and are often ready before I have photographed them. But some things also happen spontaneously. Photography has immediately become a passion again.
