DESCRIPTION
This panoramic photograph captures a canyon-like formation carved into a small plot of land wedged between a residential development and an oil palm plantation. These human interventions-urban expansion and industrial agriculture-disrupt the natural state of the land. Combined with the heavy rainfall characteristic of Indonesia’s equatorial climate, they accelerate the erosion of the clay soil. Now, the plot becomes a microcosm where the vast development of human civilization and the unstoppable element of nature are in tension. AUTHOR
An amateur interested in capturing landscape and street photography.
