Off The Ledge, Malibu, California, USA, 2025
DESCRIPTION
In February 2025 massive fires hit Altadena, Pacific Palisades, and Malibu, California. The conflagration destroyed 16,00 structures, including many homes. Over 180,000 residents were displaced. The extent of the destruction meant many people couldn't return leading to prolonged questions on their future. This photograph was taken two months after of a burned out car still in its parking area. Its rear wheels hanging off the edge of what used to be a home on the shores of Malibu with an eerie view of the Pacific ocean. Walking about all this destruction was overwhelming to say the least and to witness what the clean up was like was daunting. AUTHOR
